Meet the Team

Makenzie is a hard-working, driven, and ambitious young woman whose personal experiences growing up with a disability led her to create Emergency Kindness Plan (EKP). A big dreamer and stubborn by nature, Makenzie pursued several different career paths, experiencing a ton of frustration along the way. She felt like she was hitting brick wall after brick wall. Driven by the desire that no one should have to encounter that much frustration or go through this journey alone, EKP was born. Outside of her work at EKP, Makenzie is a K-2nd Extended Day Teacher and a Substitute Teacher, both of which have allowed her to work with kids who have disabilities. Makenzie also enjoys travelling, playing with her dogs, hanging out with friends and family, and learning.
